Casey graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2008 with a BA in Communication Studies, concentration in Media Production. He has been a member of the band Sweater Weather since 2004 and produced their album Now, Everyone Can Sing, released in 2007. He continues to write music and work on films now in Los Angeles.
